Hugh Gerard was the original driving force behind the setting up of Maghery Coastal Adventures, he was the coordinator before taking on the job of the community centre manager. He has been exploring the hills of Donegal and beyond his whole life and his passion for the outdoors is evident in his knowledge of local history, geology and mountaineering. He is a qualified mountain leader (hiking guide), kayaking instructor, windsurfing instructor and sailing instructor.
